Student Power Movement?

You can join by having your current group become a chapter. Or start one.

We’ll help you.

How can you get involved?

Become a chapter. It’s easy.

Your existing student group can become a part of the Our Children Our Future Student Power Team.

Chapters receive free organizing and leadership trainings, discounts for statewide conferences, ongoing support and networking, and the chance to participate in the state’s largest advocacy day at the State Capitol Building in Charleston.

In return, we ask chapters to host forums with their elected officials, plan local projects and campaigns, spread the word about the Our Children Our Future Campaign, and designate a student leader to serve as a representative with the campaign.

Building The Power of Students!

Being a part of the Our Children Our Future Student Power Team provides:

  • Leadership development through training and networking.
  • The chance to change policy by working with professional advocates and elected officials.
  • A moment to inspire thousands of other young people across the state.

What’s going on?

2015 Policy Workshop
Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind leadership opportunity for you and your fellow students.
Students will be center stage – discussing and debating the key issues they want to bring before the 2016 legislature, meeting with delegates and senators, and receiving top-notch organizing and advocacy training.

2016 Youth Institute
Over 1,000 young people coming together from various groups to change our state.
